Get the extended range and multi-drop capability of RS-232 or RS-422/485 from your PC's USB port. Optical isolation (up to 3000 VDC) and 15kV ESD surge protection, protects PCs and laptops from dangerous surges and spikes on the network. Serial outputs are automatically configured as additional COM ports with Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP and Vista. Each model includes a 1 meter USB cable and driver CD.

Without a strong retention mechanism, USB has been deemed inadequate for many industrial applications.
