The characteristics of the bellows coupling can be modified by varying the number and spacing of convolutions. This type of coupling has high torsional stiffness and may be used in any drive system where high levels of torsional integrity are essential. Typical applications include encoder drives and closed loop servo systems.

• 3-Convolution (standard) - Short type for precisely aligned shafts
• 9-Convolution (long, high-flex) - Long Type for greater angular offsets or axial displacement
• 2-Convolution (long cardan) - Highest torsional stiffness of the bellows couplings giving the highest torsional accuracy
