EnDat2.2

With the EnDat2.2 MAZeT offers a master component for interfacing between absolute encoders from HEIDENHAIN and down-line electronic components. In addition to EnDat2.2, encoders with EnDat2.1 or SSI interface are supported.

A new feature is the possibility to preselect the clock rate for data transfers between an encoder and its down-line electronics up to a value of 8 MHz. Apart from that, the master component has its own cable runtime determination and compensation facility. The EnDat2.2 has been successfully tested in HEIDENHAIN factory operations and won approval for commercial sale.

With a big scope of functions, the FPGA soft macros warrants that the overall package of control jobs is efficiently distributed onto the EnDat master component and the µController. The master component can be delivered as an FPGA solution, a programming file or an EDIF networking list. The EDIF networking list allows combined operation with further components in a single FPGA.
