Advancements in mobile phone functionality often necessitate larger LCD screens, leading to an increase in the popularity of folding-type phones. The BU52000 series eliminates the need for mechanical switches, which are conventionally used to detect the opening and closing of mobile phones, by utilizing a silicon-based Hall effect element, resulting in greater reliability, lower power consumption, and increased design flexibility.
The BU52000 series ICs are available in the VCSP50L1 chip scale package (CSP) type, making it the world's smallest in its class. The required mounting area is 1/3 to 1/4 that of conventional models, contributing to increased space reduction. Both monopole and dipole detection types are offered.
