As its name suggests, the BLUEMARK LED uses an LED array, instead of a lamp, to generate ultraviolet light that is used to cure the ink. Due to the nominal heat generation of this array, the internal cooling fans are no longer necessary and have been removed. These improvements reduce the overall energy consumption and noise level of the printer.
Additionally, the BLUEMARK LED's array never needs to be replaced; it lasts the lifetime of the printer. The new printer has a reduced warm-up time at the start of a print job.
The BLUEMARK LED is the same size as its predecessor, has the same connectivity options (USB, Ethernet, Bluetooth) and uses the same UniCards, ink cartridge and CLIP PROJECT software. It prints up to 10,000 smudge-proof markers per hour, making it one of the fastest industrial printers available.
