Ground Up Design from Suntron

The 10U form factor allows for 4 ATCA chassis to be stacked inside a 42U cabinet. Using virtualization technologies, state of the art ATCA processor blades, and custom designed cooling technologies, customers can dramatically increase their power density to reduce datacenter footprints by providing 12 kW of total power in a 42U rack space.

Suntron's mechanical engineering group designed the ATCA chassis from the ground up and performed thermal airflow analysis to verify cooling of 200+ watts per slot.

High speed ATCA data backplanes capable of carrying 100 Gb/s per slot, power backplanes capable of distributing over 100A of current to the system, and custom ATCA blades were manufactured at Suntron's Northeast facility.
