About Ground Bond Testers

Ground bond testers are electrical safety test devices that perform electrical compliance tests.  Ground testing is mandated on all electrical and electronic devices, by a variety of compliance standards bodies, to ensure that persons coming in contact with the devices will not be injured due to shock or electrical discharge.  The two most common types of ground bond testers are those that test for earth continuity (EC) and ground continuity (GC).

Products & Services Related to Ground Bond Testers
Current Leakage Testers
Current leakage testers measure the amount of current that leaks to ground.
Ground Resistance Testers
Ground resistance testers are devices that are used to measure and test electrical grounding systems. Grounding enables optimum electrical continuity between conducting objects and earth.
Hipot Testers
Hipot testers are electrical safety test devices that perform a variety of electrical compliance tests.
Megohmmeters
Megohmmeters generate high voltage, low current signals for testing the breakdown strength of electrical insulation. They are called megohmmeters because the insulating resistance of a properly designed product is expressed in mega ohms (MOmega: Ohms ).
