About Abrasive Holders and Accessories

Abrasive holders and abrasive accessories include abrasive holders, back-up pads, mandrels, contact wheels, polishing naps and other abrasive accessories that are used to apply abrasive products. They include abrasive blocks, abrasive laps, abrasive mandrels, bent mandrels, lapping plates, diamond rolls, diamond grinding pads, and diamond grinding tools. Lapping plates, lapping supplies, and lapping tools are also abrasive holders and accessories.

Abrasive Belts
Abrasive belts consist of abrasive grain adhered onto the surface of a cloth, film, paper, non-woven or other backing.
Abrasive Discs
Abrasive discs consist of abrasive grain adhered onto the surface of a cloth, film, paper, non-woven or other backing. They are used for metal removal, surface finishing, sanding, etc.
Abrasive Grain and Finishing Media
Abrasive grain and finishing media includes crushed grit, metal shot, glass beads or shaped chips for blasting, mass finishing (vibratory or tumbling), bonded wheels, coated abrasives, ball milling, water jet cutting, and other applications.

Bonded abrasives consist of conventional abrasive grains held together in a matrix of glass, resin, rubber or other binders. This classification includes grinding wheels, cut-off wheels, honing stones, mounted points and grinding segments. 
Coated Abrasives
Coated abrasives are used for abrading, smoothing, or polishing.
Contact Wheels
Contact wheels drive and provide backup support for abrasive belts. They are available in a variety of face profiles, materials and diameters.
Flap Wheels and Specialty Abrasives
Flap wheels and specialty abrasives includes cartridge rolls, cross pads, sleeves, unitized or convolute wheels, interleaved flaps, flap discs and other specialized abrasive products converted from coated or nonwoven abrasives.
Nonwoven Surface Conditioning Abrasives
Nonwoven surface conditioning abrasives consist of abrasive grains adhered with resin to the internal fiber surfaces of a nonwoven textile backing.
