About Specialty Industrial Process Controllers

Specialty industrial process controllers are used in unlisted, specialized or proprietary applications. They receive sensor inputs, provide control functions, and output control signals. There are several form factors for specialty industrial process controllers. Some devices are printed circuit boards (PCB) that can be attached to an enclosure or plugged directly into a computer backplane. Others are designed to attach to a panel or bolt onto a chassis, wall, cabinet, or enclosure. Rack-mounted industrial process controllers include hardware such as rail guides, flanges, or tabs, and may fit a standard 19-in. telecommunications rack. Benchtop or floor-standing units have full casing or cabinet and an integral interface that includes either a digital front panel or analog components such as knobs, switchers, jumpers, or meters.

Products & Services Related to Specialty Industrial Process Controllers

Batch Controllers
Batch controllers maintain the correct size of a discrete batch of process material, such as the volume of a liquid. They are often interfaced with sensors such as load cells, or with volumetric flow meters.
Humidity Controllers
Humidity controllers monitor and maintain proper humidity levels in environmental test applications, food storage areas, and electronic equipment rooms.
Level Controllers
Level controllers monitor, regulate, and control liquid or solid levels in a process.
pH Controllers
pH and ORP controllers monitor and can control the pH (acidity or alkalinity) and/or the ORP (oxidation reduction potential) of liquids involved in a testing or process application.
Pressure Controllers
Pressure controllers accept input from pressure sensors, transmitters, gauges, and other devices and subsequently control adjustment to the pressure to maintain or achieve the desired pressure level.
Universal Process Controllers
Universal process controllers constitute a broad area of control devices that may be employed in the monitoring and control of many different process variables, including temperature, pressure, flow and other values.
Web Controllers
Web controllers maintain control functionality over processes with web or sheet rollers.  Control functionality includes maintaining tension of the web, centering on the track, and material feed rates.
