Specifications

   Power Rating

Usually expressed in volt-amps, which is the product of the maximum RMS voltage and the RMS current that the conditioner can handle.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Input Voltage:

Nominal line voltage to which the conditioner is connected.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Output Voltage:

Output is regulated or conditioned voltage.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Voltage Regulation Accuracy:

Accuracy with which the output voltage is controlled.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value less than or equal to the specified value.
   Number of Outlets (if Applicable)

While many power conditioners supply a single outlet for conditioned power, some feature multiple outlets.  This is most often for equipment that does not consume a great deal of power, such as computers or light instrumentation.  Not applicable for hard-wired or specialty conditioners such as boards.

Search Logic:      All matching products will have a value greater than or equal to the specified value.
   Phase:
   Your choices are...

   Single Phase

General public or standard commercial voltages are typically single phase.  Examples include computers, office equipment, and many types of laboratory instruments.

   Three Phase

Three phase power is typically reserved for industrial use for machines that benefit from its efficiency.  Industrial motors and machines with motors often use three phase power.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
   Frequency:
   Your choices are...

   50 Hz

Common power frequency in Europe and other countries.

   60 Hz

Common power frequency in the U.S., Canada, Japan, and other countries.

   400 Hz

400 Hz power is typically used in aerospace applications.

   Other

     Any unlisted frequency.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
   Protection
   Your choices are...

   Harmonics

The device provides protection against changes in harmonics.

   Isolation

     The device provides isolation.

   Line Noise

The device provides protection against noise.

   Lightning

The device provides protection against lightning.

   Voltage Sags

The device provides protection against voltage sags.  Voltage sags are brief reduction in the voltage on ac power systems.

   Short Circuit

The device provides protection against short-circuits.

   Surge

The device provides protection against surge.

   Transient

The device provides protection against Transient voltage.

   Unbalanced Loads

The device provides protection against unbalanced Loads.

   Other

     Other unlisted protection types.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Configuration

   Configuration
   Your choices are...

   Computer Board

Installs into the slot of a computer backplane, or other board configuration that requires enclosure within a case.

   Portable / Benchtop

Can easily be moved or carried; often includes case with handle(s).

   Hard Wired

Permanently mounted in, on, or near the device it is supplying; input and output connections are usually meant to be permanent also.

   Rack Mount

The device is designed to be mounted directly into a rack. It comes equipped with the necessary rail guides, flanges, or tabs to be mounted in this fashion. The standard 19" rack is typical of this style.

   DIN Rail

The device is designed to be mounted on a standard DIN rail.

   Wall Mount

Designed to be permanently wall mounted or secured.

   Floor / Free Standing

The device does not need to be mounted.  It can stand on its own.  This class typically includes large or high-power class conditioners.

   Other

Any unlisted or specialized mounting configuration.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Features

   Medical Rating?

Designed and rated for medical or dental use; may include hospital grade ratings.

Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
   Frequency Conversion?

Includes power conditioners that also convert input frequency to a different value, e.g. 60 Hz to 50 Hz converters.

Search Logic:      "Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
   Bypass Switch?

Switch for taking power conditioner "off-line" without physically removing it; allows unconditioned power to pass through.
