Performance Specifications

   Air Flow Rate

Air flow rate is the rate at which air moves within or between zones.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Static Pressure

Static pressure is the pressure that exists when an equal amount of air is supplied to and exhausted from a space.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Media Temperature

Media temperature is expressed as a range.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Maximum Diameter (Fan or Blower Wheel):

The diameter of the fan, or the diameter or maximum dimension of the blower outlet.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
Fan / Blower Type

   Design Configuration
   Your choices are...

   Axial

Axial fans include propeller vans, vane axial fans, and tube axial fans. With these designs, the fan blade circulates parallel to the air flow.

   Bi-Lobal or Tri-Lobal

Bi-lobal and tri-lobal fans consist of multiple co-rotating, serpentine shafts that mesh to move air and gases in a controlled manner. The shafts mesh so tightly that backflow is prevented.  Typically, bi-lobal fans and tri-lobal are used to recirculate gases in process equipment when environmental consistency is required.

   Centrifugal

Centrifugal fans include products with many different blade configurations. Examples include forward curve, backward curve, air foil, backward incline and radial tip. With centrifugal fans, the fan blade rotates perpendicular to the air flow.

   Other

     Other unlisted design configurations.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
   Drive Options
   Your choices are...

   Direct Drive

Direct drive devices directly couple an electric motor to the fan or blower shaft for direct power transmission.

   Belt Drive

Belt drive fans and blowers are powered by belts and sheaves or pulleys. Typically, one sheave is mounted on an electric motor and the other on the fan or blower. The two sheaves are then connected by belts.

Search Logic:      Products with the selected attribute will be returned as matches. Leaving or selecting "No Preference" will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Fan / Blower Class (if Applicable)      The fan or blower class is a numeric value that describes the device's compliance with requirements from the Air Movement and Control Association (AMCA). Typically, fans and blowers with a larger class number provide greater minimum performance but cost more.
   Your choices are...

   Class I

Fans and blowers meet Class I AMCA requirements.

   Class II

Fans and blowers meet Class II AMCA requirements.

   Class III

Fans and blowers meet Class III AMCA requirements.

Search Logic:      Products with the selected attribute will be returned as matches. Leaving or selecting "No Preference" will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Features

   Your choices are...

   Explosion Proof

Explosion-proof fans and blowers are designed to withstand the explosion of a specified gas or vapor within the motor housing and/or machine casing. Sometimes, these devices are designated as as TEFC-XP (Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled, Explosion Proof).

   Inspection / Access Doors

Fans and blowers have mounted doors to provide access to the interior of the fan for maintenance and inspection.

   Portable / Rolling

Fans and blowers are small and portable, or part of a moveable assembly that is equipped with wheels or handles.

   Wall / Panel Mount

Wall or panel-mounted fans have mounting brackets or flanges for wall installation or exhaust.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Environment

   Your choices are...

   Clean Air / Gas

Fans and blowers are designed for all clean-supply air and exhaust applications.

   Corrosive Gases

Fans and blowers are designed to handle corrosive gases used in petrochemical plants and chemical processing operations.

   Dirty Air / Gas

Fans and blowers are designed for heavy industrial air streams, erosive gases, or air streams with particulates.

Light Solids / Powder / Dust

Fans and blowers are designed to move granular materials such as grain, pellets, and powders, as well as other particulate matter such as soot, contaminants, and light solids. These fans and blowers are pneumatic.

   Smoke

Fans and blowers are designed for smoke exhaust.

   Other

     Other unlisted environments.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
Material

   Your choices are...

   Aluminum

The fan is constructed primarily from aluminum, a light-weight metal.

   Cast Iron

The fan is constructed primarily of cast iron.

   FRP / Composite

The fan is constructed primarily from composite materials such as fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) or fiberglass.

   Plastic / Polymer

The fan is constructed primarily from plastics or polymers.

   Steel

The fan is constructed primarily from steel.
