   Product Description
   Your choices are...

   Acoustic Enclosure

Acoustic enclosures are housings with sound dampening or attenuation characteristics. They are designed to lessen the noise generated by a machine outside of the enclosure. Acoustic enclosures range from small, pump-sized or machine-sized enclosures to large walk-in rooms.

   Acoustic Room

Acoustic enclosures are set up and permanently situated as a room. Acoustic rooms are used with loud machinery, high-noise testing operations, and operations where outside noise must be kept to a minimum.

   Anechoic Chamber

Anechoic chambers are specialized acoustic enclosures with highly engineered acoustic properties designed to attenuate or eliminate reflected noise, sound, or ultrasonic wavelengths.  They are typically used for specialized noise testing and product certification procedures.

   Engine Test Cell

Specialized acoustic enclosures are designed specifically for the testing of large engines and turbines. They are designed to attenuate noise escaping the test facility.

   Other

Other unlisted or specialized sound proofing products.

Performance and Size

   Noise Attenuation

Noise attenuation is the reduction in sound pressure level (SPL) that an acoustic product provides. It is measured in decibels (dB).

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Noise Reduction Coefficient (if applicable)

Noise reduction coefficient (NRC) is an average of a material’s absorption coefficients at a specified set of frequencies, typically 256 Hz, 512Hz, 1024 Hz and 2048 Hz. Absorption coefficients range between 0 and 1 (1 is total sound elimination), and are often evaluated at many frequencies in the audible range in order to create a performance curve for the material throughout the audio spectrum.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Thickness

The thickness, if applicable, of the sheet, foam, barrier, etc.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Width

The width (if standard) of the door, panel, enclosure, etc.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Height

The height (if standard) of the door, panel, enclosure, etc.

Search Logic:      User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.
   Weight

The full weight of acoustic product.

   Features
   Your choices are...

   Architectural

Products are designed with stylistic or architectural details to conform to the appearance of the facility.

   Flameproof

Products are rated to resist or stop the propagation of flame. Typically, flameproof products carry a safety rating which indicates the test standard.

   Static Dissipative

Static dissipative products are conductive in order to prevent the build-up of static electricity. They prevent unwanted high-voltage sparks or electrical discharge.

   Surface Convolutions

The surface of the material or product has convolutions or similar geometries for redirecting noise and preventing uniform sound reflection.

Search Logic:      All products with ANY of the selected attributes will be returned as matches. Leaving all boxes unchecked will not limit the search criteria for this question; products with all attribute options will be returned as matches.
   Mounting
   Your choices are...

   Adhesive / Tape

Adhesives or tape are used to mount the product to the surface to be treated.

   Spray / Trowel

Products are sprayed on or applied with a trowel.

   Brackets

Products mount with brackets and hardware.

   Free Standing

Panels or barriers are free-standing units.

   Ceiling Attachment

     Products attach to the ceiling.

   Pipe / Line Mount

Products mounts directly onto the pipe, hose, pneumatic line, etc.

   Other

Other unlisted, specialized, or proprietary mounting style.
