Sensed Temperature Range


	Sensed Temperature		The temperature range the device is rated for sensing.
	Search Logic:		User may specify either, both, or neither of the limits in a "From - To" range; when both are specified, matching products will cover entire range. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.

	Basic Element Used

	Thermocouple		A thermocouple consists of two wires, each made of a different homogeneous metal or alloy. The wires are joined at one end to form a measuring junction. This measuring junction is exposed to the fluid or medium being measured. The other end of the wires are usually terminated at a measuring instrument where they form a reference junction. When the two junctions are at different temperatures, current will flow through the circuit. The millivoltage resulting from the current flow is measured to determine the temperature of the measuring junction. They are generally simple, rugged and cover a wide temperature range.
	RTD		Resistance Temperature Detectors are types of thermal resistors - they are electrically conductive elements (typically platinum) that are designed to change electrical resistance in a predictable manner with changes in applied temperature. They are very linear and accurate, however they are typically more expensive than other temperature detection methods.
	Thermistor		Thermistors are another type of thermal resistor (RTD is the other) - they tend to exhibit a large change in resistance proportional to a small change in temperature.
	Solid State		Solid state or IC temperature sensors are very linear with options of high current or voltage outputs; however they typically are not usable at temperatures exceeding 200 degrees Celsius.
	Fiber Optic

	Element Configuration		The number of elements contained in the probe, typically the more elements in the probe the more accurate and expensive the probe is.

Probe Configuration


	Probe Configuration		There are various probe styles available for specific application purposes and uses. This is not an exhaustive list as custom probe styles are often also available.

	Straight Probe		Probe used for stationary surface temperature measurement or well use.
	Penetration (Needle) Probe		Probe used for internal temperature measurements.
	Flexible Probe		Probe can be manipulated for various temperature measurements.
	Drop Probe		Probe for well or underwater temperature measurement.
	Curved Probe		Probe for temperature measuring of pipe and curved surfaces.
	Roller or Moving Probe		Probe for moving surface temperature measurements.
	Air Probe		Probe for air flow temperature measurement.
	Angled Probe		Probe is angled for temperature measurement inside pipes, angled spaces etc.
	Surface		Attachable to surface (skin, flat surface etc.). Also known as "banjo", "patch" or "bolt-on" style.
	Clamp or Strap Sensor		Probe clamps or wraps around surface to be monitored.
	Flat/Ribbon		Flat (often flexible membrane) temperature sensor.
	Other		Other, unlisted, or specialty probe configuration.

Additional Probe Specifications


	Diameter or Width Range		This dimension can be the actual diameter or width of the probe or the diameter of the object being monitored depending on the probe configuration.
	Search Logic:		User may specify either, both, or neither of the "At Least" and "No More Than" values. Products returned as matches will meet all specified criteria.

	Bare or Insulated Lead Wires
	Search Logic:		"Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.

	Plug or Quick Connect
	Search Logic:		"Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.

	Metal Braided Leads
	Search Logic:		"Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.

	Integral Connection Head (Thermohead)
	Search Logic:		"Required" and "Must Not Have" criteria limit returned matches as specified. Products with optional attributes will be returned for either choice.
