Standard Display Colors:
Bi-color LED's are made using red and green LED's in the same package. Most indoor programmable LED displays today use either all red LED's or they use red and green LED's. To a lesser extent all amber is sometime selected. It is possible to create 256 or more shades of color from red to green using only red and green bi-color LED's. Blue LED's are the most expensive and have the highest brightness. Adding blue LED's to the red and green can give you over 1.7 million shades of color.

Set Point Options?
Ability to set control limits or set points for process parameters such as speed, temperature, pressure or humidity. In a heating application, the unit sends an off control signal when the set point temperature is approached or exceeded and an on control signal when the temperature drops below the set point. Limit (on-off), linear (proportional, PID) or other non-linear control technologies can be used to generate the control signal.

On / Off Control?
The meter has the ability to send an on-off output signal to activate or deactivate a process unit (oven, motor, fan, etc.) utilizing relays, open collector transistors or other technologies. On-off, bang-bang or limit control is one of the simplest techniques for process control.

| |
Strain Gauge
A strain gauge is a sensing device, attached along its entire length to a surface so that its resistance will change as the surface is deformed. Strain gages are typically used as elements in a Wheatstone bridge circuit, which is used to make the measurement.
| |
Resistance
Piezoresistive sensors are based on semiconductor technology. The resistance changes because of alterations in the length and width (as with strain gauges) as well as a shift of electrical charges within the resistor.

| |
Analog Outputs?
Analog outputs are used in applications that require digitally controlled output voltages usually within the range of +/-10 V or less, and at current levels below 10 mA. The heart of an analog output channel is a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), which converts a digital code into a voltage level. The output of the DAC is then processed or conditioned to produce the required output signal characteristics.
