Mahr Metering Systems Corporation of Charlotte, North Carolina, USA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mahr Metering Systems, GmbH, under the umbrella of Carl Mahr Holdings, serving the pump and metering system market directly from the USA since 1983. Mahr was founded in 1861 in Esslingen, Germany, to manufacture indicating/measuring instruments, testing equipment, and gear inspection units. In 1936, the Feinprüf factory opened in Göttingen to manufacture dimensional measuring instruments, and in 1945 the Feinprüf Spinning Pump Division was initiated. In 1973, the Perthen line was added in Hannover to produce form and surface texture gauging instruments. In 1983, the Charlotte, NC office opened as a subsidiary of the Feinprüf Spinning Pump Division. In 1995, the entire family of companies was renamed Mahr after its founder for the purpose of global recognition. Mahr recognizes every customer as its worldwide partner.
