The RUD management team opens its new US headquarters
RUD's managing director, Dr. Hansjörg Rieger, accompanied by his sons, Jörg, Johannes and Benjamin, cut the classic RUD-blue tape at the opening ceremony held in Hiawatha, Iowa under a steel-blue sky on the morning of August 3. The ceremony was attended by the town mayor, the president of the chamber of commerce, and a large number of representatives from diverse partner organizations.
This new, functionally modern, steel and glass building has been built on a green-field site at a cost of several millions. It houses numerous offices, assembly facilities, and a large logistics complex. The building is a tribute to the RUD Group's double-digit growth in the USA – the world's largest single market. RUD is a mid-sized family business from Aalen-Unterkochen, which is systematically opening up new market segments under continuously good US business conditions. RUD is the international market leader in innovative round steel chain systems – 'Engineered in Germany'. Speaking to an audience including his entire US work force and members of RUD's management from Germany, Dr. Rieger's message of good news was, "Our new US headquarters is a symbol of the worldwide, strategic dynamism of our company, and, above all, it will ensure good, long-term capacity utilization of our five European production works."
