Framing Anchors, Hangers and Ties

Framing anchors, framing hangers and framing ties are used for anchoring rafters and trusses to plates, floor and ceiling joists to headers, and solid blocking to plates. Framing anchors are typically made from sheet metal, and have pre-punched holes to accept nails. Anchors provide an accurate and positive connected between wood pieces by allowing the nails to secure the framing anchor to load laterally, rather than in partial withdrawal. Framing anchors are commonly used in framing construction for protection against strong winds and other forces.
