Specialty HVAC Equipment

About Specialty HVAC Equipment

Specialty HVAC equipment includes specialized or proprietary products and services related to heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC). Modern buildings use HVAC systems to regulate the temperature inside the building using specialty HVAC equipment such as oil furnaces, heat pumps, heat exchangers, blowers, ventilation systems, and radiant-floor heating systems to control the temperature inside a building. There are many different types of specialty HVAC equipment. Examples include HVAC controls, HVAC ductwork, and HVAC chillers. HVAC controls are used with an HVAC system to regulate the amount, timing, and distribution of heating and cooling. HVAC controls range from simple on-and-off switches to thermostats to complex energy management systems. HVAC ductwork is used to conduct air to and from an air-handling unit. HVAC ductwork includes pipe or closed conduits made up of sheet metal, fiberglass board, or other suitable material. HVAC chillers provide cooling for industrial and commercial applications. HVAC chillers use water, oils or other fluids as refrigerants. Other specialty HVAC equipment is commonly available.
