About Network Accessories
Network accessories are devices that are used to complement or enhance computer and network systems. There are many different types of network accessories. Examples include USB switches, universal serial bus (USB) drivers, serial to USB connectors, computer networking cables, and network connectors. A USB switch utilizes ports that enable the connection to other computers, thereby enabling the shared use of printers, scanners, and hard drives. A USB driver is a program designed to interface a USB switch to an operating system or other software. A serial to USB connector is a cable that converts equipment’s serial output to a USB interface. A computer networking cable is an important network accessory that is used to network two or more computers together to form simple local area networks (LANs). A network connector enables power as well as data to be supplied to devices from a single connector. Other network accessories are also commonly available.
