About Molding Services
Molding services create ceramic, composite, glass, rubber, plastic, silicone, or metal parts by combining solids or powders with liquids, or by pressing solid materials or powders into a die or form. They use many different molding processes. Examples include casting, compression molding, compaction, ramming, pressure forming, hot pressing, cold pressing, injection molding, resin injection molding, blow molding, transfer molding, thermoplastic molding, thermoset molding, and rubber molding. These molding processes are used to fabricate a wide variety of mechanical components, housings or cases, seals, gears, impellers, valve parts, belting, dielectrics and insulation, bumpers, vibration absorbers, nozzles and ferrules. Original equipment manufacturers (OEM) use molded parts in automotive, aerospace, medical, and heavy-duty industrial applications; safety, consumer, telecommunications, and chemical processing equipment; and the electronics and electrical industries. Molding services are located across the United States and around the world.
