About Bare Conductor Wire and Cable
Bare conductor wire and cable is made of conducting materials to carry electric current. There are four main types of products: solid, stranded, flat strap, and flat braid. Solid conductors and flat strap conductors are single, solid pieces of metal that are drawn into conductors. Stranded conductors and flat braid conductors consist of several, smaller conductors that are twisted together to form one flexible conductor. Other, specialized or proprietary bare conductor wire and cable are also available.
