About Deburring Tools
Deburring tools remove flashing and other unwanted edge properties caused by cutting or machining. Deburring equipment removes burrs, smoothens parting lines, jagged edges, or protuberances on the surfaces of an object created during machining or casting operations. A deburring machine offers the fastest processing times and the highest reliability percentages leaving little scope for errors and inconsistency to remove burrs from a work piece. A deburring tool greatly improves the quality and functionality of metal and wood pieces, making it a necessary use of time and a cost effective process. Deburring tools include many different types of process such as thermal deburring, chemical deburring, and vibratory deburring. Chemical deburring (ECD) utilizes electrical energy which is directed to only specified areas on the part to remove burrs. Thermal deburring uses instantaneous and very intense heat energy to perform a deburring operation. Vibratory deburring has a thick cast polyurethane liner caster for easy mobility and a sound abatement cover. It is either alumina or silicon carbide based with varying degrees of abrasive or polishing material depending upon the application. Different types of deburring tools are commonly available.
