About Shears and Shearing Equipment
Shears and shearing equipment use a shearing or scissor-like action to cut metal into sheets or strips. Shears are usually six inches long or longer with one bow for the thumb and one elongated bow for two or more fingers. The operation of a shearing machine is similar to that of a rotary lawn mower. Shearing machines and shearing machinery are multipurpose devices used in the cutting of alloys and other sheet metal. Shears and shearing equipment are used in steel furniture industries, refrigeration, doorframe manufacturers, automobile industries, and control panel manufacturers.
