Digital pressure gages are devices that convert applied pressure into signals. Readouts are then displayed numerically. Many pressure-gaging technologies are available. Devices that use mechanical deflection include an elastic or flexible element such as a diaphragm that responds to changes in pressure. Digital pressure gages that include a bridge circuit also use a diaphragm, but to detect changes in capacitance. Typically, strain gages or strain-sensitive variable resistors are used as elements in Wheatstone bridge circuits that perform measurements. Other digital pressure gages use pistons, vibrating elements, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), or thin film to sense changes in pressure. Some devices use piezoelectric sensors to measure dynamic and quasi-state pressure. Generally, these sensors have two modes: charge and voltage. Charge mode generates a high-impedance charge and voltage mode uses an amplifier to convert the high-impedance charge into a low-impedance output voltage.

Products & Services Related to Digital Pressure Gauges
Analog Pressure Gauges
Analog pressure gauges are mechanical devices that include bellows, Bourdon tubes, capsule elements and diaphragm element gauges.
Pressure Instruments
Pressure instruments are used to measure, monitor, record, transmit or control pressure.
Pressure Sensors
Pressure sensors include all sensors, transducers and elements that produce an electrical signal proportional to pressure or changes in pressure.
Pressure Switches
Pressure switches are actuated by a change in the pressure of a liquid or gas.  They activate electromechanical or solid-state switches upon reaching a specific pressure level.
Pressure Transmitters
Pressure transmitters translate the low level output of a sensor or transducer to a higher level signal suitable for transmission to a site where it can be further processed. These devices include pressure sensors, transducers, elements, and instruments.
Vacuum Gauges and Instruments
Vacuum gauges are devices for measuring vacuum or sub-atmospheric pressures.
Vacuum Sensors
Vacuum sensors are devices for measuring vacuum or sub-atmospheric pressures.
