About Safety Laser Scanners

Safety laser scanners are used to monitor activity within a dangerous work area. They can be used in stationary or mobile applications. A safety laser scanner is a safety device that provides high-level safety to equipment as well as to people. A safety laser scanner is an optoelectronic device which uses diffused reflection of emitted light and determines the intrusion of person or object in a specified area. There are many different types of safety laser scanners. Examples include a mounted safety scanner, live window safety scanner, and an area laser safety scanner. A mounted safety scanner is mounted either for guarding a horizontal or vertical field in front of equipment or machinery\to protect people from accessing dangerous areas. A live window safety scanner collects security and performance related information from a computer, which is required to find and fix problems. A live window safety scanner then improves the quality of scanner performance and features using the security information collected. An area laser safety scanner is a non-optical scanner that permanently scans a complete workfield at an angle of 190° and several meter radius, to monitor a two dimensional area. Other safety laser scanners are also commonly available.
